BRIDES AND DATES

I am Spaniard from Spain(europe), and it´s hard for me to believe that many americans confuse us with latinamericans. Spain is a country in the southern europe with an occidental culture and history very similar ethnically, historically and culturally to italians or southern french people(our neighbors)(you can take an example from the character Iñigo Montoya of the film the princess bride). Latinamerica its a great diverse continent but have nothing to do with Spaniards culture cause latinamericans are really mixed with native americans(Aztec,mayan..)culture and africans (cuba, puerto rico). Otherwise the fact spaniards colonized america and gave name to american cities such as San Francisco, Los Ángeles makes me hard to believe americans have this confusion.When people here in Spain say americans confuse us with latin americans i hope is not the majority.
USA its a great nation, so i feel sad when i heard this things.
I am european, mediterranean, white, blond and with blue eyes as much of spaniards so i feel really sad when i heard this things, cause is the same if you compare a french with an argelian just because both speak french.
